Accounting Intern

The role involves preparing and posting journal entries and sales tax reconciliations. This immediately available position works up to 40 hours per week for one year under the direction of the Manager of Tax. To Learn More Visit: Essential Duties And Responsibilities Submit various journal entries prepared by others for approval through the ERP. Prepare journal entries for select accounts and submit them for approval through the ERP. Complete monthly sales tax reconciliations. Pull high‑volume monthly accounts payable invoices (100+ per month) to determine appropriate sales and use tax treatment. Assist with sales and use tax audits from start to resolution, including data collection, analysis, and auditor support. Assist with the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with state and local requirements. Assist with the business license processes. Perform other clerical functions as required. Education and Licensure Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program focused on Accounting, Finance, or Business and in the third year of studies. (required) Skills, Experience And Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy. (required) Ability to remain motivated even when performing repetitive tasks. (required) Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. (required) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel for complex tasks, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
