Nursing Unit Secretary - Pre-Admission Testing - MaineHealth

Location: 22 Bramhall Street, Portland

Schedule: Per Diem, as needed. Coverage for vacations and sick time.

Remote: On-site only (no remote flexibility)

The Nursing Unit Secretary in Pre-Admission Testing provides administrative, clerical, and receptionist support to ensure efficient patient flow and coordination of services. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients, providers, and care team members, facilitating communication, scheduling, and documentation activities. The Nursing Unit Secretary supports the Pre-Admission Testing team by managing patient records, coordinating appointments and testing requirements, answering inquiries, and assisting with the preparation and organization of patient information to promote positive patient experience and high-quality care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
3. Experience: One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.
