Location: Wyoming, MN (100% Onsite)

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $28-$33 an hour

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 2-month contract with possibility of extension

Position Overview

Our client in Wyoming, MN is seeking an organized and service-oriented HR Coordinator to support its Human Resources team during a leave of absence. Reporting directly to the HR Leader, this highly visible, hands-on position will serve as a key resource for employees and HR operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities, employee support, HR coordination, and special projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration & Employee Support

Prepare employment letters and HR-related communications.

Perform HR data entry and maintain records within Paycom.

Assist the HR Leader with presentations, employee communications, and department initiatives.

Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and direct employees to appropriate resources.

Support employee relations activities using established documentation, templates, and processes.

Assist employees with leave of absence requests by gathering required information, initiating claims, entering documentation into the leave management portal, and coordinating with the third-party leave administrator.

Manage workers' compensation documentation, tracking, and reporting.

Support administrative activities related to CDL compliance.

Benefits & Open Enrollment Support

Assist with annual open enrollment activities, including employee communications and coordination.

Support employee meetings, training sessions, and benefits-related information gathering.

Help facilitate the organization's transition to a self-insured benefits model.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

Support recruiting and onboarding processes.

Maintain recruitment files, candidate records, and onboarding documentation.

Assist with new hire coordination and onboarding activities as needed.

Events, Training & Employee Engagement

Coordinate employee events, celebrations, community activities, and company-sponsored programs.

Organize training sessions, including scheduling, room setup, materials preparation, refreshments, and logistics.

Support harassment prevention training initiatives and other employee education programs.

Assist with employee engagement activities and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

2+ years of Human Resources, HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or related experience preferred.

Experience supporting employee relations, benefits administration, leave administration, workers' compensation, or recruiting activities.

Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
