Position Overview:The Database Architect / Database Administrator / Data Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for the design, administration, optimization, integration, and governance of Construction organization's data.This position combines database architecture, database administration, and data engineering functions to support critical business applications, analytics, initiatives, and digital transformation programs.The successful consultant will lead the scalable, secure, and highly available database solutions while developing and supporting enterprise data pipelines, integrations, and reporting platforms.The role requires a balance of planning, hands-on technical expertise, operational support, and cross-functional collaboration across many stakeholders.Responsibilities:Database Architecture:Design and maintain enterprise database architectures supporting transactional, analytical, and operational systems.Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and technical requirements.Establish database standards, architecture principles, governance frameworks, and data management best practices.Design high-availability, disaster recovery, replication, and data resiliency solutions.Database Administration:Administer SQL Server and other enterprise database platforms.Monitor database health, performance, capacity, and availability.Perform database tuning, indexing, query optimization, and performance analysis.Implement backup, recovery, replication, and access controls.Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.Data Engineering:Design, develop, and maintain organization level transform and load processes and data pipelines.Support data warehousing, data lake, and lakehouse architectures.Develop data cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes.Support the team performing analytics, business intelligence, and reporting initiatives.Automate data movement and operational support processes using modern engineering practices.Data Governance & Security:Adhere to data governance standards, metadata management, and master data management practices as dictated by enterprise standards.Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and lineage across systems.Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to safeguard enterprise data assets.Establish role-based access controls and auditing standards.Support regulatory, audit, SOX, and data retention teams.Leadership & Collaboration:Partner with business stakeholders, application development teams, infrastructure teams, and contractors.Documenting database administration, development environments, and current projects and tasks.Facilitate database architecture reviews and technical design sessions.Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures for current and future environments.Required Qualifications:High School, Associate’s Degree, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.10+ years of experience in database administration or database design.5+ years supporting enterprise organizations / large scale companies.Demonstrated experience in enterprise data integration and analytics.Database Platforms: Microsoft SQL ServerAbility to write scripts in SQL.Advanced proficiency in SQL, including stored procedures.Data LakesData WarehouseData Warehouse ETLPower BIPowerShellPythonSSISPreferred Experience:Development & Scripting: VBA, SQL, T-SQL, Python, PowerShell, Shell ScriptingData Engineering & Analytics: SSIS, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, ETL (Transform and Load) Development, Power BIInfrastructure & Operations: Performance Tuning, Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recovery, Database Security, Capacity Planning, Automation and Monitoring ToolsStrong database architecture and data modeling expertise.Deep understanding of relational databases and data integration patterns.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.Strong understanding of data governance and cybersecurity principles.Ability to lead technical initiatives and manage multiple priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical audiences.If hired, you will enjoy the following ECLARO Benefits:401k Retirement Savings Plan administered by Merrill LynchCommuter Check Pretax Commuter BenefitsEligibility to purchase Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance through ECLAROIf interested, you may contact: Heckle Tulab View email address on click.appcast.io View phone number on click.appcast.io Heckle Tulab | LinkedIn Equal Opportunity Employer: ECLARO values diversity and does not discriminate based on Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status, in compliance with all applicable laws.
