Brake Press Operator

Location: Roanoke, IL
Pay: $20.75 & up per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Occasional Overtime depending on workload
Education: High School Diploma or GED required

What You’ll Do:

As a Brake Press Operator , you'll be responsible for programming and operating brake press machines to bend and shape metal parts according to specs and drawings. Your precision and attention to detail help ensure our components meet the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Set up and operate computer-controlled brake press machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and work orders
• Plan bending sequences and process metal components
• Use precision tools (calipers, tape measures, squares) to check tolerance
• Troubleshoot, rework, and make adjustments as needed
• Perform light maintenance and ensure machine alignment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Assist engineers with part modifications and substitutions as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year of brake press experience
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read diagrams, blueprints, and follow detailed instructions
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Forklift experience is a plus
