Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Care

Speech-Language Pathologist Home Health

Schedule: 4 x 8-hour days

Assignment Details:

• Up to 6 patient visits per day
• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off up to one shift per pay period

Requirements:

• 1 year of skilled home health SLP experience required
• Certification: BCLS
• OASIS assessment experience required
• Key clinical skills: Dysphagia evaluation & management, dysarthria, voice, fluency, cognitive/communication strategies, experience in CVA, TBI, degenerative & neurological conditions, tracheostomy/vent and suctioning experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Monitor and assess patients' needs to ensure appropriate care is delivered.

Compliance / Notes:

• Pre-start modules: Non-billable, approximately 16 hours on average
• Dress code: Business casual; scrubs allowed (no jeans)
• Free parking available
• Mileage reimbursement: IRS standard
