Low carbon energy initiatives include commercialization of TETRA PureFlow®, an ultra-pure zinc bromide clear brine fluid for stationary batteries and energy storage; advancing an innovative carbon capture utilization and storage technology with CarbonFree to capture CO2 and mineralize emissions to make commercial, carbon-negative chemicals; and development of TETRA's lithium and bromine mineral acreage to meet the growing demand for oil and gas products and energy storage.Reporting to Product Line leadership, the Automation Technician responds as necessary to provide implementation, testing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of automation equipment.Perform skilled tasks including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as directed by leadershipTroubleshoot and diagnose all levels of Energy Services automation equipment and mechanical system failuresOptimize Energy Services equipment performanceStay abreast of advanced pump and automation theory and maintenanceComply with all company and customer safety and environmental policies and proceduresComply with all other company policies and proceduresComplete appropriate paperwork as directedPerform duties as trainer when requiredContinually hone and develop electronic and computer skillsMust be highly proficient in automated and mechanical systems maintenanceMust have troubleshooting skills that seldom require assistanceShould be able to diagnose electronic and mechanical control problemsMust be able to operate all types of diagnostic toolsMust have strong mechanical and electrical aptitudeShould have thorough understanding of reference materialsPreferred experience in process instrumentation / SCADADemonstrate and further develop leadership skills.Present a professional image.Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Experience: Must have 1-3 years of Instrumentation experienceTravel: Must be willing to travel 20% and willing to relocate, if necessaryLicenses / Certifications: Valid Driver's License, Vocational training is preferredPhysical Duties: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
