Pharmacy TechnicianAs a pharmacy technician, you ensure patient safety by accurately preparing and dispensing medications. Your efficiency in managing inventory and processing prescriptions allows pharmacists to focus on patient care. By providing excellent customer service and medication guidance, you enhance patient satisfaction and adherence to treatment plans.Key Position Details:Casual (0.0 FTE)Variable-hour day/evening shiftsOn-call required for this positionFlexible scheduling based on operational needsAllina Home Infusion operating hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-6:00 PMWeekday on-call hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 PM-10:00 PMWeekend on-call hours: Saturday-Sunday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PMHome Infusion Job Duties:Prepare medications, parenteral products, and chemotherapy.Prioritizes, enters, fills, labels, and prepares home infusion products for delivery.Adheres to and is knowledgeable regarding all USP 797 processes.Proficient in computer skills and database management relevant to the work.Calculates and collates supplies for the patient's home under the supervision of the home infusion pharmacist.Assists the pharmacist in maintaining daily patient schedules, planning, and refills.Works collaboratively with the home care agency and the patient to ensure safe delivery of products to the patient's home.Assists with billing documentation as directed.Follows direction regarding workflow to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective administration of medications.Assists and supports the care coordination/intake team with cross-coverage opportunities.Assists with buying as directed.Required Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description0 to 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy TechnicianPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDVocational or Technical Training from an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred0 to 2 years of healthcare experienceLicenses/Certifications:Registered Pharmacy Technician - MN Board of Pharmacy required upon hireCertified Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required within 12 months of Date of Hire (NHA or PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)Physical Demands:Light Work:Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequentlyPay Range:$22.04 to $30.01 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
