Physical Therapy Assistant - Travel Contract

Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant in Laurens, IA. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness in a skilled nursing facility and outpatient setting, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This assignment covers a maternity leave beginning in November and provides consistent hours and patient volume expectations. Thank you for your time and responsiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Iowa PTA license required to start the assignment.
• At least 1 year of PTA clinical experience, including experience in SNF and outpatient settings.
• BLS certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience managing caseloads consistent with 6-12 patient visits per day and meeting productivity standards.
• Ability to meet client productivity expectation of 85%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with documentation systems commonly used in skilled nursing and outpatient clinics.
• Previous travel or per diem experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.
• Setting: Combined SNF and outpatient coverage.
• Typical daily volumes: 6-12 patient visits per day.
• No on-call required. Weekend coverage may be required the weekend before or after a holiday.
• Must be willing to float between nearby facilities in the region as needed.
