As the Senior Principal / Principal Enterprise Architect supporting our Digital Commerce & Performance Marketing areas, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we leverage technology to deliver world-class, seamless, and personalized client experiences. You will drive the multi-year architecture strategy and technology roadmap that powers our digital commerce ecosystems, including our mobile app, client engagement platforms, and omnichannel fulfillment. Your architecture vision will modernize legacy platforms, accelerate our transition to microservices and composable commerce, and ensure alignment with Aritzia's business strategy and measurable outcomes. With the skills you gain in this role, the opportunities are endless – from a rewarding career in Technology to continued growth and development within Aritzia.As the Senior Principal / Principal Enterprise Architect, you will:Develop and maintain the architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap for Aritzia's digital commerce, mobile apps, content, search, client data, POS, and omnichannel capabilities, upgrading legacy systems into cloud-native, microservices-based, and headless ecosystemsPartner strategically with business and technology leaders to shape initiatives that modernize and transform our digital and retail capabilitiesEvangelize emerging technologies and industry trends, influencing Aritzia's roadmap to maintain a competitive edge through cutting-edge solutionsEmbed AI and ML capabilities into the technology ecosystem, driving automation, predictive insights, and intelligent decision-makingTranslate corporate strategy into actionable technology direction and ensure architecture investments deliver tangible business valueInfluence and guide solution architects and engineering teams, ensuring design consistency, scalability, and alignment with global principlesDrive modernization across retail and digital, ensuring flexibility and future-readinessCollaborate closely with peers across the Technology Division to ensure end-to-end integration across retail and digital commerce capabilitiesFacilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration through engineering communities of practice and lead the creation and adoption of engineering best practicesThe Senior Principal / Principal Enterprise Architect has proven skills, certifications, education, and/or experience:20+ years of experience architecting and delivering technology solutions in retail and digital domainsProven leadership in cloud migrations, data integrations, DevOps, backend engineering, and off-the-shelf package implementationsStrong technology and engineering background, including experience with:Commerce and digital experience architectures, including modernizing legacy eCommerce into cloud-native and headless platformsComposable commerce (e.g., Salesforce, Commerce Cloud, Commerce tools or similar)AWS or GCP, microservices, Spring Boot, serverless, containers (Docker/EKS), GraphQL, React, CI/CD, and IaC (Terraform)Proficiency in enterprise data and integration patternsExperience with retail systems, POS integration, omnichannel flows, and high-volume commerce performance patternsImplementing a Customer Data Platform (CDP)Deploying technology to support loyalty and membership programsHands-on experience with implementing modern Search platformsImplementation of Call Center client interaction automation leveraging Agentic AI-based platformsIntegrating a Digital Asset Management (DAM) systemModernizing content, catalog, and search platforms, leveraging AI/ML-powered search and personalizationExperience managing large budgets and leading cross-functional teams in complex, global environmentsExperience in vendor relationship management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagementAppreciation for Aritzia's obsession with design, quality, and excellence, and ability to translate that into technology standards and solutions that scaleA commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principlesThe skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomesExceptional communication and storytelling skills, enabling complex ideas to be clearly articulated and connected to Aritzia's purpose and strategic ambitionsThe ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the teamAbility to align global architecture with business strategy and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functionsA dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add valueSome of the industry-leading benefits you will receive working at Aritzia:Product Discount — Maybe you've heard of our famous product discount?
