Probate & Trust Paralegal - Temp-to-Hire
Location: La Jolla, CA (once trained/can be hybrid)
Pay: $35-$45/hour W2 DOE
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Join an established San Diego law firm supporting probate, trust administration, estate planning, and related litigation matters. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal who enjoys managing cases and working closely with attorneys and clients.

What You'll Do

• Prepare probate petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and court filings for attorney review.
• Support trust administration, including asset identification, creditor claims, and beneficiary distributions.
• Gather client information and documents for estate planning.
• Obtain real property records and prepare and record deeds transferring property into trusts.
• Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other parties.
• Maintain organized files, track deadlines, and conduct legal research.

What We're Looking For

• 1-6 years of experience in probate, estate planning, and/or trust administration.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of state probate procedures and experience preparing and filing probate documents.
• Experience with trust inventories, accountings, and real property transfers.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently and handle confidential information.
• Legal case management software experience; Clio Manage is a plus.
• Spanish fluency and notary certification are preferred, not required.
