Over the next several years, the company will be rapidly expanding all its brands and looking to invest in new brands.POSITION SUMMARYThe Real Estate Accountant reports to the Senior Real Estate Accountant and supports AR/AP, month- and year-end close, financial reporting and budgeting, and property onboarding.RESPONSIBILITIES* Perform monthly, quarterly, year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting* Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned properties, including banking, payables and receivables, and ensuring accurate financial records* Review financial data for accuracy and prepare timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders* Participate in the preparation of the annual budgets* Support property transitions, including new acquisitions, developments, and system setups* Assist with processing property-level expenses such as property taxes and insurance* Develop and maintain process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)* Contribute to and manage process improvements and assigned ad hoc projects as neededQUALIFICATIONS* B.S. in Accounting or Business Administration* Minimum of 3 years accounting experience preferably* Experience with Yardi or comparable real estate accounting software is a plus* Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle - GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-/year-end close* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail* Strong oral and written communication skills* Strong working knowledge of Excel* Able to work independently and with minimum direction once the task and objectives have been defined* Able to meet internal and external deadlinesPHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:* Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 10 lbs* Frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, reaching* Noise level may be moderate to high at timesCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:* $83,600 - $90,700 based on relevant experience to the role.* Annual incentive bonus eligibility.* PTO.* Full benefits package.* 401K (up to 4% match).**PRIVACY NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA JOB APPLICANTS**Syufy Enterprises and/or any affiliated entities (collectively, the “Company” or “we”) provide this California Privacy Notice (“Notice”) to describe our privacy practices with respect to our collection of Personal Information as required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”).
