Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level Tax Associate Attorney in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and other strategic transactions. Duties Manage components of transactions independently. Handle domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings. Advise on private equity and hedge fund matters. Work on real estate and REIT taxation. Engage in complex capital markets transactions. Participate in bankruptcy and workout processes. Contribute to structured finance and securitization projects. Support lending and project finance initiatives. Assist start‑up and early‑stage companies. Requirements 3-5 years of experience in a federal transactional tax practice. Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills. Active member of the New York Bar or California Bar. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
