Community Support Professional I - PSR ($2,500 Sign on Bonus)

Description

The Community Support Professional I, provides psychosocial rehabilitation services to groups of individuals with behavioral health diagnoses. Works as part of the team to ensure individuals participating in the program are building skills needed to help them build a recovery plan and live optimally in the community.

Starting Hourly Rate: $18.45-Depending on Experience

**2,500 Sign on Bonus **

Qualifications

Knowledge and training in best practices for providing community based behavioral health services for individuals with disabilities residing in community settings.
Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations of laws governing commitment of persons to institutionalized care, and standards and related ethical and legal guidelines including Medicaid, and other payment sources.
Ability to work independently and part of a team and work effectively with other agencies and develop community resources.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and present educational materials.
Must possess a valid driver's license (state of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record. Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment.
Must have an acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire and maintained throughout employment;
Must have acceptable drug screen results upon hire

Education/Experience Required:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a bachelor's degree in special education, social work, psychology, or approved human services related field is required.
Current registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-A is required.

Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
