Crete, Shaffer, and Hunt drivers are paid based on practical miles. This means drivers are paid for 3-5 percent more total miles per year than companies that pay based on short route miles. Governed truck speed has been raised to 68 MPH on the cruise and 65 MPH on the pedal, increasing productive miles. The most productive 50 percent of our Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking OTR drivers average more than $101,176 annually, equating to over $1,945 weekly; $0.64 to $0.67 CPM. The top 50% of our Hunt Transportation drivers average $93,347 annually ($1,795 per week), with starting pay ranging from $0.65 to $0.68 per mile.
