Safety Technician

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 10pm-7am or 11pm-8am With some flexibility depending on scheduling/company needs The Safety Technician supports the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department by promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment throughout the facility. This position is responsible for conducting workplace safety inspections, assisting with accident and incident investigations, delivering employee safety training, maintaining safety records, and monitoring compliance with applicable regulations and company safety standards. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts regular workplace safety inspections on facilities, equipment, and operations to identify and assess potential hazards. Conducts training sessions for employees on workplace safety procedures and protocols. Assists with accident and incident investigations to determine the root cause and make recommendations for future prevention. Maintains records of workplace safety incidents and track progress on implementation of corrective actions. Collaborates with other departments to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. Monitors safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management. Delivers safety orientation and training programs to employees on workplace safety procedures, emergency response, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other EHS topics Facilitates toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns to promote employee engagement and safety culture initiatives. Stays informed of changes to OSHA regulations and industry best practices and communicate updates to management and employees. Supports compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Assists in maintaining emergency preparedness programs, safety signage, and required safety documentation. Performs other duties as assigned.
