Founded and operated by a team of pharmacists and software engineers, we support a collaborative, cost-saving solution for purchasing prescription drugs.  The Clinical Pharmacist - Sales primarily serves business development as a Clinical Pharmacist on the Clinical Advisory Team responsible for providing clinical and industry expertise to the Sales (Employer, Health Plan, Consultant/Broker, State/Local Government) team. The Clinical Pharmacist also provides industry guidance and support to the Revenue Demand Generation team as needed. This is a client facing role requiring skills that leverage clinical expertise, knowledge of competitive landscape, strategic thinking, quantitative analysis, and a clear understanding of key business objectives. This role requires up to 35% business travel and is primarily office-based in Overland Park, Kansas. We would prefer a local candidate with the ability to work in office/hybrid but may consider a well-qualified fully remote individual. What You’ll Do:Provide clinical and industry expertise to the Sales (Employer, Health Plan, Consultant/Broker, State/Local Government) team on a day-to-day basisCompile, develop, and deliver clinical and analytical content for virtual and on-site pre-sell prospecting and partner presentationsCollaborate with commercial teams to continuously develop clinical strategies and opportunities to drive value with prospects and current clientsSupport revenue demand generation with clinical content such as webinars, blog posts, clinical content updates, public speaking, and specific engagement campaigns when neededAct as a voting member for the P&T CommitteePerform other duties as reasonably requested by department leadershipBasic Requirements:Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university, or RPh, and typically requires 4+ years of pharmacy industry experience with proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide overall clinical support to both clinical and non-clinical teamsValid Pharmacist licensePrevious success within clinical teams in managed care pharmacy, pharmacy consulting, health system, or pharmacy benefit manager environmentsPrevious technical work experience with Microsoft Office Suites, data visualization software, data analytics reporting, and pharmacy adjudication platformsPreferred Skills / ExperienceExperience and demonstrated success in a team selling environment for employer groups, pharmacy consultants, and state/local governmentsUnderstanding of pharmacy benefit design, managed care pharmacy for Commercial lines of business, pharmacy adjudication processes, formulary design, utilization management edits, pharmacy networks, clinical compendia for decision support, FDA approval process, medical and pharmacy rebates, pharmaceutical market access strategiesDemonstrated success in client facing role(s) or public speaking specifically on clinical, industry, or thought leadership in the field of pharmacyExperience with PBM clinical programs, specialty and channel management, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), case management programs, and/or academic detailing to providersDemonstrates effective communication and listening skills, with the ability to efficiently problem solve novel situations in collaboration with teams from different departmentsDesire to evaluate, prioritize, develop, and lead innovations that require managing both short- and long-term initiatives to optimize RxSS procedures and future offeringsDesire to work directly with data files, pharmacy claim utilization, and data visualization software to research, investigate, and develop sound business strategiesAbility to assess and interpret data to identify pharmacy trends and irregularities for resolution and troubleshooting capabilitiesWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
