About the School Located on a beautiful 10‑acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s 24‑hour RTC and Therapeutic School serves 52 children aged 5 to 17 with emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. Our on‑site day school is year‑round with 225 instructional days and 35 holiday break days. Responsibilities Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with Arizona State Standards and Common Core Standards. Teach using digital teaching methods and an educational model that promotes student engagement. Maintain class sizes of 8‑12 students with a 6:1 student‑to‑staff ratio, including 1‑2 direct care professionals for support. Assess student performance objectives regularly and provide progress reports as required. Collaborate with colleagues to plan, facilitate, and teach highly effective literacy instruction. Utilize the school’s state‑of‑the‑art database for data accumulation and monitoring. Compensation and Schedule Salary : $50,000 – $55,000 Schedule : Monday‑Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (direct instruction; not virtual) Benefits Assignment of a teacher’s assistant to support classroom safety and well‑being.
