About the Role

We are building a next-generation private markets platform designed to eliminate manual fund administration and client servicing workflows. This role sits at the core of platform design, translating complex, real-world operational processes into clean, structured, platform-agnostic workflows that can be automated, orchestrated, and scaled. This is not a documentation-only BA role and not a developer role. Success requires strong upfront process decomposition, business-rule modeling, and systems thinking, with the ability to partner closely with Product, Engineering, and external vendors to enable automation-led delivery.

What You'll Do

Process & Workflow Architecture

• Lead platform-agnostic current-state and future-state process analysis across private market fund administration and client servicing
• Decompose complex workflows into states, triggers, exceptions, and business rules suitable for automation
• Identify failure modes, manual handoffs, control gaps, and data inconsistencies
• Design workflows that are structured, repeatable, and scalable—not bespoke or client-specific

Automation & Systems Thinking

• Define workflows with automation in mind (event-driven, rules-based, API-compatible)
• Propose how workflows should work, not just how they work today
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate operational logic into clear functional specs, not UI mockups or code
• Maintain strict role boundaries—vendors build/configure; this role defines and governs

Product & Delivery Enablement

• Support GP onboarding by defining standardized implementation patterns, data models, and mapping approaches
• Help prioritize product backlog based on operational impact (hours saved, errors reduced, scalability unlocked)
• Ensure process definitions remain living artifacts, evolving with platform capabilities

Stakeholder & Workshop Leadership

• Lead structured workshops with internal teams and clients to align on:
  • What's broken
  • What's manual
  • What must be standardized vs configurable
• Challenge legacy assumptions and push for simpler, cleaner operating models

What Success Looks Like

• Manual, exception-heavy workflows are replaced by clearly defined, automatable processes
• Product and Engineering receive precise, unambiguous process logic and business rules
• Vendor teams can configure and deliver without reinterpreting requirements
• GP onboarding becomes faster, standardized, and repeatable
• Platform features are delivered in an order that actually unlocks scale, not just functionality

Required Profile

Must Have

• 3–5+ years as a Business Analyst, Platform BA, or Process-focused Product BA
• Experience in private markets, fund administration, fintech, or complex financial operations
• Strong process-first mindset (workflow decomposition > solution design)
• Comfort working with states, events, exceptions, SLAs, controls, and audit trails
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering in automation-led environments
• Ability to remain platform-agnostic and avoid over-customization

Strongly Preferred

• Exposure to workflow engines, case management platforms, or operational automation
• Experience supporting vendor-led delivery models
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflow concepts (decisioning, orchestration, exception handling)
