Art Director/Designer

St. Louis CITY SC looking for an Art Director / Graphic Designer eager to continue their career in design and sports, contributing to our dynamic in-house team and helping us continue to push the boundaries of creativity in sports. As an Art Director / Graphic Designer, you will translate strategy into smart, engaging creative that hooks our audiences. You will partner closely with a team of Copywriters, Video Editors, Content Creators, Visual Designers, collaborating to bring creative briefs to life across digital, social, and video channels.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Concept and design best-in‑class creative across campaigns, social, merchandise, video, with a strong focus on visual storytelling and design. Concepting and producing polished, on‑brand, performance‑minded assets that meet timelines and brief. Designing assets across brand, sponsorship and events. Contribute to pre‑production planning, support on‑set shoots, and collaborate with Creative Director, Video Editors and Photographers to ensure work comes to life as intended. Work closely with copywriter, strategists, producers, and project managers, to ensure creative aligns with brief goals, brand voice, and business objectives. Own the work from end to end.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience : 2-5 years of experience. Agency experience in a creative role, with a strong portfolio of conceptually driven, high‑quality work. Experience in sports or lifestyle brands is a plus. Design Skills : Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier). Familiarity with other design tools and platforms is a plus. Creative Development : Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas and campaigns to help elevate our creative output. Creative Mindset : A passion for design and creativity with a strong portfolio that demonstrates your skills and potential. We are looking for people that see opportunity in tasks both big and small. Attention to Detail : Meticulous eye for detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work. Eagerness to Learn : Open to feedback and willing to grow in a collaborative environment. Cultural Awareness : Interest in sports, culture, and lifestyle trends, with the ability to incorporate these elements into your designs. Collaboration : Proactively work closely with the Creative Director and other team members / departments to develop concepts and execute design projects that connect with our audience. Brand Consistency : Maintain and uphold the club’s visual standards across all materials, contributing to a cohesive and recognizable brand presence. Adaptability : Handle multiple design tasks in a fast‑paced environment simultaneously, adapting to feedback and changes quickly while meeting deadlines. Communication : Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design decisions and present ideas effectively.
