Location: Charleston, South Carolina (Onsite)

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000


Role Overview

This role involves compounding and dispensing prescribed drugs per physician instructions within a hospital or healthcare facility setting. The position requires consultation with medical staff regarding potential drug interactions, patient medical history, and the use of particular medications. You will also respond to patient inquiries about medications and dosage instructions and ensure all pharmacy data is accurately recorded, maintained, and compliant with all regulatory, security, and hospital procedures. Openings are available for both 1st shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) and 2nd shift (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM), with a requirement to work every third weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Compound and dispense prescribed drugs as directed by physicians.
• Consult with medical staff on drug interactions, patient history, and medication use.
• Address patient questions regarding medications and dosage.
• Ensure all required pharmacy data is recorded and maintained.
• Comply with all regulatory, security, and hospital procedures.
• Demonstrate a stable work history and strong interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required.

Licensure & Certifications: Applicants must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. A current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy residency.
• Experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience in pediatrics.
• Multiple years of relevant experience.
