You’ll apply your roadway and highway design knowledge—particularly with FDOT and local Florida agencies—to solve engineering challenges and help develop innovative, sustainable transportation solutions.Projects you’ll supportHighway and roadway improvement projectsInterchange and capacity upgradesTransit-related infrastructureFederal and local corridor enhancementsYou’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience collaborating with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders. We encourage our team members to explore new ideas and contribute to solutions that enhance everyday mobility.What you’ll doSupport roadway design efforts for FDOT, county, and municipal transportation projects across FloridaPrepare and assist in developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway and highway improvementsPerform roadway design tasks such as alignments, cross sections, and roadway components using Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoadsCoordinate with multidisciplinary teammates and subconsultants to ensure cohesive project deliverablesContribute to QA/QC processes to support high-quality engineering outputEnsure design work complies with applicable standards, procedures, and guidelines Here's what you'll need Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering6+ years of professional experience in roadway or highway designExperience working on FDOT, county, or municipal transportation projectsProficiency in Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoadsIdeally, you'll also haveProfessional Engineer registration or ability to obtain a PE licenseFamiliarity with FDOT standards, processes, and production workflowsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skillsExperience in horizontal and vertical alignment design and development of roadway construction plan components#LI-KD1Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
