Medical Assistant – Dermatology
Halsey Dermatology | Sag Harbor, NY | On-site

$22–$26 per hour | Full-time | Monday–Friday | No weekends

Paid dermatology medical assistant training is provided. Previous medical-assisting experience is welcome, but not required.

Halsey Dermatology is seeking a friendly, dependable Medical Assistant to join our team in Sag Harbor. We provide high-quality medical and cosmetic dermatology care to children and adults in our community.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, has an interest in skin care, and wants to develop clinical skills in a supportive medical practice. We welcome applicants with experience in medical reception, dental assisting, or other patient-facing roles, as well as candidates with medical-assisting training. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.

Schedule and compensation

• Full-time, on-site position in Sag Harbor.
• Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts.
• Pay: $22–$26 per hour.
• Paid dermatology training.

What you will do

• Welcome and room patients; verify vital signs, current medications, and relevant health information.
• Record patient care information accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with patient care and coordination as directed by the physician and clinical team.
• Prepare, restock, clean, and disinfect examination rooms, procedure rooms, and other patient care areas.
• Organize and process patient care documents.
• Help with routine administrative tasks that keep the practice running smoothly.
• Protect patient confidentiality and treat patients and colleagues with courtesy and professionalism.
• Perform other related clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

• A friendly, professional manner and a genuine interest in helping patients.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with a team.
• Comfort using computers and a willingness to learn our electronic medical record system.
• An interest in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
• Medical-assisting experience, vocational training, or transferable patient-facing experience is appreciated.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
• Spanish proficiency is appreciated, but not required.
