Role Description The Physician at RENAL MEDICAL ASSOCIATES, P.C. will provide comprehensive nephrology care, including evaluating and managing patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and related conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outpatient clinic visits, rounding on hospitalized patients, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The Physician will document encounters accurately, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to patient education and preventive care efforts. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Knoxville, TN, requiring consistent presence at the clinic and affiliated hospital facilities. Qualifications Completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Nephrology or a closely related subspecialty. Board certification or board eligibility in Nephrology (or Internal Medicine with nephrology focus), with active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Tennessee or eligibility to obtain one. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and related systemic conditions. Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail in documentation, and proficiency with electronic health records. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams, including clear patient education and shared decision-making. Commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in quality and safety initiatives. Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site clinical environment, manage time efficiently, and adapt to varying patient volumes.
