About the Position

Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 3x12 (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekdays with some weekend rotation | On-call not required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across Critical Care and General Care settings, including adult and/or pediatric populations
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Float to sister facilities as needed
• Document patient care and clinical activities using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to all infection control, compliance, and facility policy requirements, including flu vaccination protocols during flu season (October 1 – March 31)
• Complete a respiratory fit test using an approved mask prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT or CRT credential
• Valid WV state license or compact license; pending license accepted for submission
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• PALS and NALS required for pediatric cases; must be through AHA
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption accepted only with documented allergist or physician record
• Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or major teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience managing both adult and pediatric respiratory cases
• Flexibility with scheduling, including block schedule arrangements
