JOB SUMMARY

Partner with other receiving team members to receive deliveries, breakdown and sort pallets, stock shelves, fill bulk orders, and maintain stocking area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Break down and sort pallets.
• Cut box-tops and rotate stock.
• Stock shelves, pick bulk orders.
• Maintain tags, location stickers, and stocking area.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Partner with the warehouse team and take direction from supervisors to ensure efficiency.
• Safely and competently operate a forklift, all required technology, and any other materials handling equipment in the warehouse.
• Will perform all tasks safely and to the best of their ability and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Forklift certified with past experience.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Must understand and follow warehouse practices and procedures.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must be physically able to access all areas of the warehouse.
• Must be open to receiving on-the-job training by supervisory personnel.
• Must be able to report to work on time and ready to work as well as work overtime when requested.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience doing similar work preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift and transport a minimum of 30 lbs. on a consistent basis and up to 70 lbs. intermittently.
• Must be able to stoop, twist, bend squat, kneel, reach at, below or above the shoulder.
• Must be able to walk and stand on concrete floors up to 12 or more hours per day.
• Maintain performance in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution quotas and standards.
• Tolerate temperatures ranging from (-) 20 degrees in the freezer, to 115 degrees in the truck van.
