We are looking for a talented mechanic to join our growing company. You will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various bus systems and components. Starting pay will be based on experience and credentials. ResponsibilitiesPerform various tasks regarding preventative maintenance of transit bus vehiclesUse instruments and gauges, including computers, to test and determine system malfunctionsInspect, align, replace, adjust, and repair various bus components and systemsPrepare written reports and verify that work repair was done with documentationMaintain inventory and records on stock parts and suppliesSkills/RequirementsMinimum 21 years of age with good driving historyAble to obtain or possess an IL state issued Class C CDL with passenger endorsementMust meet all D.O.T. physical requirementsSubmit to and pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testingAble to lift, carry, or move up to 50 poundsMust possess own toolsHave proof of ASE certification or completion of Automotive/Diesel repair from an accredited schoolSCT offers rewarding conditions of employment including excellent benefits. 100% company paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employeePaid vacation, personal time, and sick timeIMRF RetirementSCT is a drug free workplace and Equal Opportunity Employer
