Speech Pathology | Dearborn, Michigan

Make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality speech-language pathology services in a leading hospital setting. This contract opportunity involves a 13-week assignment, with the potential for extension or conversion. You'll contribute to patient care on a dedicated team and focus on adult inpatient rehab and acute care.


Schedule:

• Wednesday through Saturday
• 10-hour shifts, 7:45 am - 6:15 pm (negotiable start time)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; master's degree highly preferred
• Active BLS certification
• Demonstrated experience in inpatient rehabilitation, adult acute care, and adult patient assessments, including bedside swallow or BIM assessments
• Proficient in thorough clinical documentation
• Independent, motivated, and adept communicator
• Prior familiarity with Cerner and Epic electronic medical records systems is a plus

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology therapy for adults, addressing communication and swallowing disorders
• Conduct functional, bedside, and specialized assessments to inform treatment planning
• Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Collaborate closely with the therapy manager and interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for all therapeutic sessions in accordance with facility standards
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies, care plans, and progress
