Role Description The Quality Inspector is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Greater Fort Wayne. This role is responsible for inspecting implantable devices and medical instrumentation at various stages of production to ensure they meet internal specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer standards. Daily tasks include performing visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated tools, documenting results, and identifying nonconformances. The Quality Inspector collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. The role also involves maintaining accurate inspection records, following standard operating procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the quality system. Starting Rate $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr M-F 2nd and 3rd shift openings Qualifications Strong Quality Control and Inspection skills, including experience with visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of precision components. Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Management principles, including adherence to SOPs, documentation practices, and regulatory or ISO‑compliant systems. Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection data, and to support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Familiarity with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and basic understanding of GD&T is highly beneficial. Previous experience in medical device, precision manufacturing, or a highly regulated industry is preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced production environment. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams on‑site.
