Field Services Technician (Direct Hire)

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

✈️ Travel: Up to 90% Travel Required

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Services Technician to join a growing team specializing in vehicle technology, telematics, RFID systems, and low-voltage installations. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, full health benefits, and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology across the country.

The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of experience in low-voltage systems, vehicle electronics, telematics, security systems, access control, car audio, alarms, GPS installations, or related technical fields. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends when project demands require it.

Primary Responsibilities

Customer Installations (Travel-Based)

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot telematics devices, GPS units, and vehicle camera systems
• Install RFID warehouse systems, including readers, antennas, cabling, and supporting hardware
• Perform testing, validation, and system documentation
• Complete customer sign-offs and installation reports
• Provide professional customer service and support on-site
• Travel extensively, including overnight assignments

Required Qualifications

• 4-10 years of experience in low-voltage systems, vehicle electronics, telematics, car audio, alarms, security systems, or related fields
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, and testing equipment
• Basic understanding of networking and low-voltage systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel up to 90% of the time
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Internal Technology Support

When not traveling, technicians will assist with:

• CCTV and IP camera installations
• Access control systems
• CAT6 cabling installation, termination, testing, and labeling
• AV and conference room technology
• Internal facilities technology projects
• General low-voltage system support

Preferred Qualifications

• Telematics installation experience
• Dash camera installation experience
• RFID system installation experience
• Security camera and access control experience
• CAT6 cabling experience
• Basic networking/IP knowledge
• OSHA or low-voltage certifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working on ladders and inside vehicles
• Ability to work in warehouses and outdoor environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
