Principal Technical Program Manager, Speed + AI

We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the technical strategy and execution for next-generation Speed customer experiences. You will partner with engineering, science, product, and operations leaders to build scalable platforms that power low-latency, highly accurate, and AI-enabled customer experiences across Amazon's Speed ecosystem. This role requires exceptional technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across organizations to solve some of Amazon's most challenging customer and engineering problems.Key job responsibilitiesLead the strategy and execution of complex, cross-organizational technical programs spanning engineering, product, science, and business teams to deliver differentiated Speed customer experiences.Partner with senior engineering and product leaders to align roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and drive technical decisions across multiple organizations.Define scalable operating mechanisms that improve planning, execution, risk management, and accountability across cross-functional teams.Influence architecture and long-term technical strategy by driving alignment on platform investments, system evolution, and engineering best practices.Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and organizational risks while balancing customer impact, business priorities, and engineering tradeoffs.Drive executive-level communication by providing clear program visibility, decision frameworks, and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.Foster collaboration across partner organizations to simplify complex problem spaces, remove organizational friction, and accelerate delivery.Champion a culture of operational excellence by improving execution mechanisms, metrics, and continuous process improvements across large-scale initiatives.Mentor TPMs and engineering leaders, raising the bar for technical program management and cross-functional leadership across the organization.Basic qualifications- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience- 5+ years of software development experience- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedulesPreferred qualification - 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedulesAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
