Senior Manager, Project Management

Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirits Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeings three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercials core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:
Primary focus and responsibility will be to lead, guide and direct the Project Management and Quality Compliance teams for Fabrication and Assembly.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project teams and customers.
Reviews projects status, budgets, schedules, and prepares Executive visibility.
Uses problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative and expedient solutions to problems.
Facilitates work teams, provides training, and interfaces with internal organizations and external customers with regard to project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
Maintains audit schedules, coordinates root cause corrective action and serves on the NADCAP Global Management Council.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree with 6-9 years of relevant experience, or Masters degree with 4-7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Minimum of 2 years of leadership or people management experience
Self-Managed, Self-Motivated, Self-Reliant
Minimal oversight required
High proficiency for problem identification and requirements for resolution

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace industry knowledge
AS9102 NADCAP audit certification
Lean and / or Six Sigma experience
Proficient in excel and data analytic programs in order to create charts, graphs, formulas, and other data entry methodologies.
Root Cause and Corrective Action training, methodology understanding, and practical application proficiency
Enterprise software working proficiency (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software from SAP Corporation)
Process specifications and material specifications comprehension

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range - $115,000 - $176,300
