Behavioral Health Technician — Day Shift (Sat–Wed) | Residential Mental Health | Cardiff-by-the-Sea

One Path Mental Health is a brand-new six-bed residential mental health program in Cardiff-by-the-Sea — a real home, not an institution — where adults in recovery rebuild daily living skills with support and dignity. We're hiring our founding team, and the day shift is the heartbeat of the house: breakfast, groups, appointments, goals.

THE SCHEDULE

Full-time. Five 8-hour shifts: Saturday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Thursdays and Fridays off

SCHEDULE NOTE — 10-HOUR SHIFTS COMING: All roles begin on the 8-hour schedules shown. Around day 35, we anticipate moving to 4-day/10-hour alternative workweek schedules through the employee secret-ballot election California law requires — and as a founding team member, you get a vote. (Days-off patterns may adjust if adopted.)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide attentive, caring supervision of residents through the daily schedule — meals, activities, community outings, house meetings

• Support residents in daily living skills and keep the home safe, clean, and trauma-informed

• Observe and document medication self-administration (you never handle or administer — we train you on exactly how this works)

• Document shift notes and observations in our electronic health record (we train you)

• Use de-escalation first, always — and follow clear emergency procedures when needed

• Give and receive a real shift handoff — you'll never walk into a shift blind

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 18+, high school diploma or GED, clear written English, authorized to work in the U.S.

• Direct-care or human-services experience valued: behavioral health, residential care, EMS, CNA work, shelters, crisis lines, caregiving

• Lived-experience perspective and bilingual (Spanish) candidates warmly encouraged

• Current CPR/First Aid, or willingness to get it before start (we'll point you to a provider)

• Background check (DOJ/FBI Live Scan), TB test, and health screening required after a conditional offer — we arrange and pay for the Live Scan
