Occupational Therapist (OTR) - Part-TimeLocation: Munster, IN Job Type: Part-Time Setting: Outpatient RehabilitationWe are seeking a dedicated, flexible, and motivated Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join an outpatient rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have experience treating upper extremity conditions, including post-surgical and non-surgical orthopedic diagnoses, and helping patients restore function and improve their quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and treat upper extremity deficits based on physician diagnoses and occupational therapy orders.Guide patients through range-of-motion (ROM) and strengthening exercises 2-3 times per week to maximize the function of the affected upper extremity.Complete progress notes and discharge documentation as appropriate.Remove sutures from the hand, wrist, or forearm and provide patients with a home exercise program during single-visit appointments.Fabricate custom splints or functional casts for upper extremities and educate patients on their proper use and care, as indicated by physician orders.Qualifications and RequirementsActive Occupational Therapist (OTR) license required.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; new graduates will not be considered.Experience treating orthopedic and upper extremity conditions preferred.Splinting and functional casting experience highly preferred.Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification is preferred but not required.Candidates with additional relevant certifications are encouraged to apply.Patient PopulationJoint replacementsTendon and ligament tearsGeneralized weaknessUpper extremity joint or muscle painSchedulePreferred working days: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.Monday-Thursday clinic hours: 7:30 AM-7:00 PM.Friday clinic hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.Patients are scheduled for one-hour evaluation appointments.Follow-up appointments are generally scheduled every 30 minutes, with longer sessions arranged when clinically necessary.No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.Benefits401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.License renewal reimbursement.Annual in-house CPR course covered by the employer.No additional benefits are offered to part-time employees.For More Details: Contact: View phone number on click.appcast.io or Email: View email address on click.appcast.io
