Substation EngineerThe Substation Engineer performs design engineering activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work. This role supports relay protection and control engineering, including detailed design for substation projects of varying size, complexity, and voltage class.ResponsibilitiesPerform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work.Shall have a basic knowledge of the theory, practices, and procedures pertaining to engineering matters in one or more of the following areas:Electrical Engineering.Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas:Substation Design.Electrical Control Systems.Protective Relaying.Develop knowledge of the Company-s design, construction, QA/QC, and safety standards and the Company document control system.Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed.May be required to travel to support work.Other duties as required.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.EIT certification strongly preferred.Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standard.Excellent written & verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Capability of solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria.Benefits: TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of:Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match.Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per year.TRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.Salary Range: USD $76,003.20 - USD $82,680.00 /Yr.
