Physical Therapy Assistant – Physical Therapy

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license
• Reliable transportation and insurance
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises and other modalities to patients as needed.
• Document clients' status accurately and submit clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• Attend educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services.
• Notify the supervising Physical Therapist of any equipment failures or changes in patient status or facility operations.
• Schedule clients and perform various administrative tasks as required.
• Maintain infection control and follow universal precautions while providing patient care.
