Proposal Specialist

Overview The Axel Group is seeking a Proposal Specialist for our client's team. This role involves developing and executing compelling proposals, qualifications, SF330s, and presentations for a variety of pursuits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with technical teams to ensure the content is accurate and persuasive, creating marketing collateral, and supporting business development efforts within the civil engineering industry. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of proposals, qualifications, SF330s, and presentations for standard and high-priority pursuits Coordinate with technical teams to ensure proposal content is accurate, persuasive, and tailored to client needs Create and improve marketing materials including resumes, project sheets, case studies, qualifications, graphics, and award submissions Write and edit project narratives, staff bios/resumes, and cover letters that meet client requirements and differentiate from competitors Maintain consistency in branding across all proposal and marketing materials Serve as a strategic resource and provide marketing expertise to project teams Drive process improvements to enhance the quality, efficiency, and success rate of proposals Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform go/no-go decisions and win strategies Manage and update opportunity tracking in CRM/Unanet and maintain marketing databases Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; equivalent experience considered 2+ years of progressive marketing experience within the A/E/C or professional services industry Proficiency with Adobe InDesign preferred Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into client-focused narratives Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively Experience with CRM/database platforms such as Unanet or similar Portfolio showcasing successful proposals or marketing campaigns Industry involvement in organizations such as SMPS, AIA, ACEC, AGC, or ULI; CPSM designation a plus Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills Ability to read, write, and understand English effectively Compensation Salary range up to $80,000.00 annually.
