Procurement Manager

As a Project Procurement Manager (PPM) for Life Sciences North America, you will be responsible for all purchasing, subcontracting, expediting, and supplier quality surveillance activities on mid‑sized to large projects ($400 M to $1 B+). You will plan and lead procurement activities, coordinate transactions, and ensure value‑added expectations are met in line with established policies. Responsibilities Perform upfront procurement planning activities, such as drafting the Supply Management Execution Plan (SMEP), establishing purchasing and subcontract strategies, and developing project‑specific templates, reports, and tools. Manage the activities of a small-to‑large team of buyers, expeditors, subcontract administrators, and other supporting procurement functions including assigning packages, eliminating obstacles, and providing training and guidance. Use critical thinking and problem‑solving to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the project’s procurement efforts. Lead major purchases of complex, critical, or high‑risk materials and equipment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management field, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in both engineering and/or capital construction purchasing and contracting. Experience in expediting, supplier quality management, and/or material management preferred. 3+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical/life‑science manufacturing projects preferred. Travel anticipated 10–20% of the time. Preferred Qualifications Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills. A drive to solve complex and challenging problems. A desire to manage a team of procurement professionals through inspirational leadership. Location and Work Arrangement The position is hybrid, requiring presence in the office or client site 2–3 days a week. One position is located in Clayton, NC and the other in Conshohocken, PA. Compensation Base salary range $98,900 to $168,000, adjusted for location and experience.
