Job Description
This 1099 independent contractor sales position specializes in roofing repair and metal re-roofing. The role requires independently generating leads, managing your own schedule, and earning commission-only pay. A background in roofing paired with strong customer service and communication skills is essential to effectively advise clients and close sales locally. Financing options are available, and you may need to facilitate three-way calls on-site with the project manager, owner and financing company.
Responsibilities
- Generate and create your own leads
- Set appointments and manage your schedule independently
- Consult with clients on roofing repair and metal re-roofing options
- Communicate effectively to understand customer needs and close sales
- Negotiate sales terms and agreements
- Provide knowledgeable roofing repair advice
- Travel locally to meet with clients as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in roofing sales
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic roofing knowledge
- Sales and negotiation techniques
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to generate leads independently
