Specializing in commercial and health care construction services in Southwest Florida, R.D. Johnson has the experience to manage projects from small renovations to large-scale additions and new construction. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Project Manager at R.D. Johnson Construction, Inc. The Construction Project Manager oversees the entire construction project from start to finish, managing preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases. This position requires a strong ability to plan, execute, and complete projects while collaborating with internal teams, trade partners, and owners. Key Responsibilities Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of the project, including budgeting, scheduling, permits, and contracts. Ensure timely completion, adherence to safety standards, and client satisfaction. Communication: Effectively communicate with the project team, owners, trade partners, and authorities. Written and oral communication skills are essential. Technology Skills: Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Must be able to use devices like laptops, iPads, and iPhones. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methods, building codes, and project management processes. Experience with cost codes, budgeting, and handling Prime Contracts. Contract Management: Negotiate and manage Prime Contracts, ensuring all requirements are met. Handle Change Orders and project accounting. Permitting & Risk Management: Ensure permits are obtained and closed out properly. Manage project risks, including insurance and bonds. Estimating & Submittals: Perform cost estimates for addendums and ensure submittals comply with project requirements. Project Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules, coordinate with trade partners, and address potential delays. Project Closeout: Oversee the final phases of the project, ensuring all contracts, permits, and risk management items are completed, and a final cost analysis is conducted. Requirements Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of construction industry standards, safety protocols, and codes. Proficiency in construction management software and devices. Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and project risks. Preferred knowledge in healthcare and commercial construction.
