For two decades, Buddakan New York has captivated guests with a surreal dining experience where the serenity of Asia meets the flamboyance of 16th-century Paris. Ornate chandeliers, gilded details, and otherworldly artwork set the stage for an immersive culinary journey. With Culinary Director Danny Bowien's bold and inventive vision woven into the menu, Buddakan continues to push creative boundaries while honoring the artistry and traditions of Asian cuisine.
We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Dim Sum Prep Cook to play an integral role in our dim sum program. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of dim sum preparation, including a variety of folding, shaping, and wrapping techniques, with the ability to execute each consistently and at a high level. This is an opportunity to bring your craft and precision to one of New York's most iconic restaurant kitchens.

Qualified candidates will have:
- 2+ years of experience in a well-rated Asian-inspired or high-volume restaurant
- Professional experience preparing and cooking dim sum from scratch
- Strong folding, shaping, and wrapping techniques
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Collaborative approach and passion for the craft
