About the Role

We are seeking a strong Java Developer immediately in a remote role in Seattle, Washington. This role supports the CCS modernization effort by upgrading existing Java components from Java 8 to Java 11+, refactoring affected code, and ensuring smooth integration with upgraded Documentum and WebMethods components. The developer will partner with Kiro to accelerate analysis, refactoring, and modernization activities.

What You'll Do

\n
• Upgrade CCS Java services from Java 8 to Java 11+
\n
• Refactor code impacted by deprecated/removed APIs, library updates, and new Java features
\n
• Redesign and validate Java integrations with the new Documentum environment
\n
• Collaborate with WebMethods developers to ensure seamless end‑to‑end communication
\n
• Use Kiro to accelerate:
\n
• Codebase analysis
\n
• Automated refactoring proposals
\n
• Test generation and gap identification
\n
• Review and validate AI‑generated refactorings and recommendations
\n
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and automated testing
\n

Required Skills

\n
• 5+ years Java development experience (Java 8 and newer)
\n
• Strong understanding of JDK 11 changes and migration considerations
\n
• Experience with REST, Spring/Spring Boot, and integration patterns
\n
• Familiarity with JMS, SOAP/REST integrations, or middleware systems
\n
• Experience reviewing and validating AI‑generated development outputs
\n
• Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle proficiency
\n

Good to Have Skill

\n
• Experience integrating with Documentum or other ECM systems
\n
• Exposure to /container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)
\n

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
