Salary Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Job Overview

Our organization is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Emergency Room team at the New Brunswick campus.

QualificationsRequired:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• 4 to 5 years of experience in Pediatric Emergency Department or Pediatric Critical Care nursing
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within 5 years of hire
• Experience in Pediatric nursing is highly desirable
• National certification and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred

Certifications and Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey

Essential Functions

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while upholding ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice by applying evidence-based principles and recognizes personal knowledge and experience levels, taking responsibility for enhancing both personal and team knowledge through effective communication and available resources.
• Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served.
• Supervises and directs task delegation to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Consistently prioritizes and evaluates interventions with measurable outcomes aimed at improvement.
• Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
