Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | Option for 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Administer medications and manage supplies using Omnicell systems
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using Meditech electronic health records
• Communicate effectively with the care team utilizing SBAR communication methodology
• Participate in self-scheduling while meeting every-other-weekend shift requirements
• Occasionally serve as a sitter or monitor technician as needed on a rare basis

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in starting IVs
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work every other weekend, including a minimum of 2 of 3 major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Familiarity with Meditech, Omnicell, and SBAR communication systems
