Title Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) — Urgent Care

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team and work as a team with other care providers to ensure delivery of premium care to each and every patient. You'll provide urgent care services including medical, orthopedic and minor surgical care; treatment for illnesses and injuries; physical examinations; laboratory and x-ray services. Compensation We are committed to providing compensation information for all open positions. The wage range for this position is $56.19 – $79.32 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, licensure, and internal equity considerations.

Key Accountabilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
• Order x-rays and labs to assist in evaluating and diagnosing illnesses and injuries
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications

Physician Assistant

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Physician Assistant License from the MN State Board of Medical Practice, in good standing
• Certified as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA
• Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care

Nurse Practitioner

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, in good standing
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Minnesota
• Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care

Schedule

• 64 hours per two-week pay period
• Two 12-hour shifts (8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.) and one 8-hour shift (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) each week
• Includes an every fourth weekend rotation.
