Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to cut, band, and drill cabinet parts for production. This role requires attention to detail and a willingness to learn, with on-the-job training being essential for success and advancement to an advanced operator position. Teamwork is crucial as all tasks require close collaboration with co-workers. The ability to troubleshoot machinery to maintain efficiency and product quality is important.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to cut, band, and drill cabinet parts.
• Ensure attention to detail in all tasks.
• Collaborate closely with team members for smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain machinery to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Participate in on-the-job training for skill enhancement.

Essential Skills

• Machine operation
• Mechanical aptitude
• Production tool change
• 2+ years of Machine Operator experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience performing quality checks

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience setting up and making adjustments to machines
• Knowledge of CNC machining
• Proficiency with calipers and micrometers

Work Environment

Work in a wood manufacturing environment that is non-temperature controlled, with over 500 employees onsite between two locations. Be open to a dynamic schedule, currently requiring 6 hours on every other Saturday for Effingham and 6 hours on every other Friday for training on the 1st shift for roughly 3 weeks before transitioning to respective shifts. Enjoy a 10% shift differential for off-shifts

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Teutopolis, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Teutopolis,IL.
