Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a high-energy, strategically minded Operations Manager to lead our US wholesale distribution center while overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations for a $10M product-based company distributing to 1,500+ retail locations nationwide. This is a critical leadership role managing a throughput of 1,500+ units per day and total weekly volume exceeding 6,000 units. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can simultaneously optimize warehouse floor workflows and think globally — managing international sourcing across Mexico, India, and China while building the operational infrastructure needed to scale. This role bridges tactical execution and strategic supply chain oversight. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Distribution Operations Oversee end-to-end fulfillment workflow for 8,000+ weekly units, ensuring all daily shipping windows are met for parcel and freight carriers. Continuously evaluate and improve pick-pack-ship processes to reduce cycle times and labor costs. Maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, bin-location optimization (slotting), and meticulous receiving protocols. Oversee warehouse facility safety, cleanliness, and compliance; maintain zero reportable incidents. Manage 3PL relationships and domestic freight across LTL, small parcel (UPS/FedEx), and regional carriers. Global Sourcing & Supply Chain Management Global Sourcing Manage supplier relationships in Mexico, India, and China — overseeing production schedules, quality control, compliance, and on-time delivery. Negotiate pricing, terms, and freight agreements to optimize landed costs; calculate and track full landed cost including duties, drayage, brokerage, and financing. Mitigate supply chain risk and develop contingency sourcing strategies for disruption scenarios. Monitor global shipping, customs clearance, duties/tariffs, and regulatory compliance. Inventory & Demand Planning Inventory & Demand Planning Lead demand forecasting in coordination with sales leadership to support 1,500 retail accounts. Maintain optimal inventory levels, improve inventory turns, and minimize stockouts and excess. Implement real-time inventory tracking and reporting systems for full visibility across the supply chain. Align inventory planning with promotional calendars and sales growth initiatives. Sales Operations Support Sales Operations Support Partner with leadership to align operations with a 150-person sales force. Develop reporting dashboards for sell-through, margins, backorders, and OTIF performance. Improve communication flow between sales, operations, and customer service teams. Team Leadership & People Management Team Leadership & People Management Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse associates and operations staff; foster a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance. Lead and develop vendor partners and cross-functional teams across finance, purchasing, and sales. Operational Performance Operational Performance Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas. Utilize WMS/ERP systems to track real-time productivity, manage backorders, and generate operational KPIs. Experience managing international sourcing across multiple countries (Mexico, India, China preferred). Proven background supporting multi-state retail distribution at scale (1,000+ accounts preferred). Technical Expertise Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of import/export logistics, customs, global freight, and Incoterms. Deep understanding of LTL freight, small parcel (UPS/FedEx), and international shipping documentation. Proficient in WMS and ERP systems (Sage 100), Excel (pivot tables, data analysis). Experience building or implementing inventory planning, demand forecasting, and KPI dashboards. Exceptional cross-functional communicator who can align sales, operations, finance, and executive leadership. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred.
