Job Title Clinical Director Location San Diego, California Employment Type Full-Time Salary $100,000 annually $4,000 Sign-On Bonus Date Posted 09/10/2026 About the Role The Clinical Manager is responsible for directly supervising clinical staff and overseeing services at a designated site to ensure mental health treatment is delivered in a way that maximizes client independence and family empowerment. This role includes oversight of individual and group counseling services, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations, and supporting recovery-oriented care for youth and families. The position is part of the Kickstart program, which focuses on early intervention and prevention of psychosis for individuals ages 12 to 40. Responsibilities Oversees all aspects of clinical services within the clinic Consults regularly with leadership regarding program performance and needs Facilitates staff meetings and provides treatment team leadership Provides direct client care including individual, family, and group therapy, discharge planning, and communication with parents and referral sources Coordinates with external clinicians, medical director, and nursing staff on treatment and medication needs Completes and submits required reports including Quality Assurance documentation Conducts utilization reviews and ensures proper documentation for program clients Collaborates with Program Director on clinical program development and service delivery Audits client charts for compliance and accuracy in documentation Provides consultation and education to community organizations and agencies Participates in program development and supports staff with complex cases and psychiatric emergencies Ensures compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries Supports department budgeting and may assist in budget development Performs administrative duties aligned with program needs Attends staff and planning meetings as required Transports clients as needed using personal vehicle Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field, or Ph.D./Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited institution Licensed LCSW, MFT, or Clinical Psychologist eligible to practice independently (two years post-licensure preferred) Minimum five years of experience in inpatient, outpatient, or mental health care At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience Experience in clinical care, case management, and group leadership Knowledge of rehabilitation philosophy; Short Doyle knowledge preferred Strong leadership, clinical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Intermediate computer proficiency Excellent organizational and time management skills Valid California driver's license, auto insurance, and proof of education required Compensation & Benefits Full-time Employees: Paid vacation days (increase with tenure) Separate sick leave that rolls over annually Up to 10 paid holidays* Medical, dental, and vision insurance options DailyPay - access your earnings without waiting for payday* Training, development, and continuing education opportunities All Employees: 401(k) Employee Referral Bonus Program Bi-weekly pay Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Perks @ Clarvida - discounts on student loan refinancing, pet insurance, Verizon wireless, movies, hotels, concerts, and sporting events Mileage reimbursement Cellphone stipend (*Benefits may vary by state or county) Work Location San Diego, California About Clarvida Clarvida is committed to delivering high-quality, recovery-focused behavioral health care through community-based services.
