Requirements

• NY RN license required in hand
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel RN experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• BLS certification required
• LTC-focused skills: dementia care, end-of-life/palliative care, pressure ulcer prevention/staging, incontinence management
• Medical/surgical skills: IV start/maintenance, IV/IM/SQ medication administration, venipuncture, Foley and suprapubic catheter care
• Advanced care skills: tracheostomy care, feeding tube/G-tube/PEG care, wound care including VAC, ostomy care
• Assessment & monitoring skills: neuro, respiratory (lung sounds, BiPAP/CPAP), vital signs, pulse oximetry, glucose monitoring, lab interpretation
• Other skills: medication administration (insulin, anticoagulation), infection control, patient/family teaching, lift/transfer devices

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide holistic patient care in a long-term care setting
• Monitor and assess patient health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety protocols

Compliance / Notes

Candidates must not have more than 10 days of requested time off. Background checks will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Orientation modules must be completed pre-start and may be billable up to 10 hours in total.
