About This Role The New Grad RN Resident position at Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute is designed for recent nursing graduates seeking to develop advanced cardiac nursing skills in a supportive environment. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with various cardiovascular conditions in high-acuity Cardiac Stepdown units. Highlights Pay : $35.50 - $55.60/hour Location : Cleveland, OH Facility : Cleveland Clinic Department/Unit : Cardiac Stepdown Schedule : Full-time, Rotating shifts (7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am) What You’ll Do Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs. Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability. Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions. Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently. Document in patients’ medical records. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience: New grad or less than one year RN work experience required If experienced RN, must have less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience Licenses & Certifications: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred within the first year of hire if in critical care area Cleveland Clinic is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
